The 2006 Tour of the TMSA saw a welcome performance in Castle Douglas. Many of those who appeared featured in the Live CD of the 2005 tour featured here. Traditional Scottish music has always had its particular devotees, but music played to this standard is beginning to attract a far larger audience in no small part due to events such as the annual Celtic Connections festival.

Ian Chapman, AKA Young Twice, from Kirkcudbright, is a Hip Hop Artist who is new to the music scene! He is currently working with Edinburgh based Artist and Producers and has plans to release an EP and independent mixtape later this year. He presently uses Myspace to promote his work and hopes to establish himself in Scotland’s expanding urban music scene.

Sally was born in Balmaclellan and has lived in the Glenkens ever since. She is an accomplished song writer and has played at the last three Wickerman festivals and this year performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has compiled a demo CD and is currently working on a number of new songs. She has a particularly melodic voice which compliments her guitar playing to great effect.

Drawing from relationships first forged at Music College in Newcastle, Inertia is a brand new band bursting with musical force.

Front man – Martyn Drabik and keys player Christopher Lever (AKA Chops) began playing acoustic duo sets in the pubs, bars and clubs of London Town. Now with drummer – Arran Ness and bassist Craig Kickbush of Crazy6, completing the line-up, Inertia are preparing their debut album, Unsafe The While. In the meantime they will be performing gigs across the South including London, Brighton and Bristol.
