Polly Hastings

Polly HastingsI attended Colvend Primary and Dalbeattie High School before leaving the area to go to College in Glasgow to Study Journalism. After this I stayed in Newcastle for a year working at a Regional Youth Work Unit until the Youth Issues Unit enticed me backto D&G! and I’m really glad they did, I love my job and the people I work with!
I think the Sounds of the Stewartry is a great way of breaking down barriers in many ways, communicating in a different media and reaching people all over the world to show the talent of people in the Stewartry. Remembering that it isn’t just for young people and bringing the whole community closer together.
The sort of music i enjoy is...(dont think there will be enough space!) Snow Patrol, The Killers, The Cribs, Paul Weller, The Cult, Kasabian, Oasis, Foo Fighters...
